WHITE
PINE
READING PROGRAM The White Pine Award
reading program offers high school-
aged teens at all grade levels the opportunity to read the best of
Canada's recent young adult fiction titles. Students will read at
least 5
of the 10 nominated Canadian young adult books and then vote for
their favourite book in April. Based on student voting across the
province,
the most popular
book is then selected and the author is honoured with the
White Pine Award
at an award
ceremony in Toronto.
The goals of the
White Pine Award
program are:
to promote reading
for enjoyment among high school students
